Often, mothers feel overlooked, disconnected, and missing from their own motherhood story; we create frame-worthy portraits that help them feel seen, proud, and deeply present in their journey of motherhood.

Hi, I’m Leena — the heart and voice behind Golden Grain Photography, and this is my husband Amogh, the eye behind the lens.

We started this journey together after moving to Canada in 2020, chasing a creative dream and building a new life from the ground up. What began as Amogh’s love for photography quickly turned into something much deeper when we watched our son, Ridant, grow up during the quiet, uncertain days of COVID. It hit us how fleeting these early moments really are — how easy it is for them to slip by undocumented.

That realization planted the seed for Golden Grain Photography.

We decided to combine our strengths Amogh’s technical brilliance with lighting, composition, and gear — and my background in customer care, emotional connection, and visual storytelling. Together, we wanted to offer more than just photos. We wanted to offer frame-worthy memories — portraits filled with intention, heart, and legacy.

At Golden Grain, we focus on maternity, newborn, kids, and family photography — but what we really do is help mothers feel seen. Too often, moms are the ones behind the scenes, rarely in the frame. We know that feeling. That quiet “memory guilt” of not having enough photos with your babies… of being the emotional backbone of the family, but not part of the visual story.

That’s what we’re here to change.

Every session is thoughtfully guided — from mood boards and call planning (that’s me!) to seamless lighting and capturing genuine emotion (that’s Amogh!). We’re patient with little ones, gently guiding even when it might feel “too much” — and later, those same suggestions often become the moments our clients cherish the most.

The most fulfilling part? Sharing the final gallery. Seeing a mom’s eyes light up, or hearing, “I didn’t realize how beautiful this season looked until now.” That’s the magic we live for.

If I could freeze one day forever, it would be a regular day with my own family — full of the small moments that mean everything. That’s why I dream of offering “A Day in the Life” sessions — because everyday love deserves to be remembered just as much as the big milestones.

We’re here to help you preserve your story with ease, beauty, and heart. Because you, Mama, deserve to be in the frame too.
